How the calculator works

It takes about a minute. You don't need to sign up or give us any personal details.

  1. Enter the price and your loan

That's really all it needs. Tell it if this is your first home, and it'll apply the stamp duty relief for you.

  2. See every cost, line by line

Legal fees, service tax, stamp duty and disbursements, with the working shown so you can check it yourself.

  3. Keep a copy

Print it, save it as a PDF, or send the link to your spouse, your agent or your banker.

Why you can trust the numbers

Based on the official rules

Legal fees follow the Solicitors' Remuneration Order 2023. Stamp duty follows the Stamp Act 1949 and the latest Budget measures. We link to our sources so you can check them.

Dated and re-checked

Rules change, usually with each Budget. Every calculator shows the date its figures were last checked, and we update them when the rules move.

Information, not a sales pitch

KiraDulu isn't a law firm, a bank or a financial adviser. We explain how things work so you can ask better questions and make your own decision.
